BOBBY WOMACK: `GOD DOESN'T LISTEN TO HIP-HOP'

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- God may like gospel music but he sure doesn't like hip-hop. That's according to R&B singer Bobby Womack who says the Man Upstairs just "...ain't into hip-hop." Womack -- best known for 1970s era soul hits like "A Woman's Gotta Have It" and "Looking For A Love" -- has just released his first gospel album, "Back To My Roots." Although he loves gospel music, he say his main reason for recording the CD was to counteract hip-hop gospel artists such as Kirk Franklin, whom he says aren't really performing spiritual music. Womack also hopes his music will inspire churchgoers to steer clear of any preachers who looking for donations just so "...they can buy fancy rings."
