JOURNALIST CLAIMS COURTNEY LOVE SENDING DEATH THREATS

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- A journalist is accusing singer/actress Courtney Love of sending him death threats via e- mail. Matthew Richer, who reports for WorldNetDaily.com, claims he began receiving the death threats after he wrote an article criticizing Love's involvement in an investigation surrounding Kurt Cobain's death. Richer claims some of the e-mail messages have been traced back to an America Online account registered in the name of one of Love's personal assistants. The messages contain threats such as "I'll hurt u like u are trying to hurt me." He also claims he and his girlfriend have received anonymous phone messages that he believes can be traced back to the alt- rock diva. However, Love's publicist, Heidi Shafer, says the rock star has no comment about Richer's allegations except to say they're "absolutely untrue."
