DR. RUTH: KARAOKE QUEEN?

DR. RUTH: KARAOKE QUEEN?

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- Although Dr. Ruth Westheimer is best known as a sex therapist, she's also a world-class karaoke singer. That's according to Russell "Singalong" Steinberg, the co- host of an upcoming VH-1 special called "Celebrity Karaoke Cabaret." Steinberg claims Dr. Ruth is a good karaoke performer -- as opposed to singer -- and describes her rendition of the Grateful Dead ditty, "Touch Of Grey," as sounding something like slam poetry. He also has high marks for former talk show host Gordon Elliot, because he actually knows Will Smith's "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It" by heart. Other celebrities risking ridicule in the karaoke show include 80s teen idol Deborah Gibson, who sings the Barenaked Ladies tune, "One Week," and former "Brady Bunch" star Barry Williams, who performs "Rock This Town."
