OSMONDS CELEBRATE 40TH ANNIVERSARY IN SHOW BIZ

LONDON, England (Wireless Flash) -- The Osmond Brothers are celebrating their 40th anniversary in showbiz this year and they're still hot with the young folks -- at least in England. The Osmonds hit, "Crazy Horses," recently became a hit in England after it was used in an ad for Virgin Airlines. According to Jimmy Osmond, it's the third time the song has hit big in Britain, and he considers it vindication for the years of pot shots the Osmonds fielded from rock critics. The 36-year-old Osmond says the band plans on capitalizing on the comeback by releasing a pop CD of all-new material sometime next year. Although the Osmonds have spent much of the last few years performing in Branson, Missouri, the low profile hasn't hurt CD sales at all. In fact, Jimmy claims their performances are so popular in Branson that his last album went gold just from lobby sales. The Osmond Brothers will be celebrating their 40th anniversary by holding a special two-night performance at the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas August 27-28.
