SNEEZE SEASON STARTS SUNDAY (AUG. 15)

MILWAUKEE (Wireless Flash) -- The phlegm will be flying this Sunday (Aug. 15), which marks the first day of the "sneeze season." According to allergy experts, that's when sneeze-inducing ragweed plants will begin spewing their pollen into the air -- an event that happens like clockwork every year on August 15th. The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology predicts more than 35 million Americans will suffer through sneezing bouts, scratchy eyes and sore throats thanks to the wretched ragweed. Although "sneeze season" won't wrap up until early October, the allergy experts say you can reduce your chances of getting sneezy by immediately stripping out of your outdoor clothes as soon as you get in the house and then washing them in hot water.
