CHILD ACTOR ADVOCATE DENOUNCES LE TOURNEAU TV-MOVIE

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- A former child star of "The Donna Reed Show" is outraged over a proposed TV-movie about the Seattle schoolteacher who gave birth to a child fathered by her 13-year- old student. Actress Penelope Ann Miller is set to play schoolteacher Mary Kaye LeTourneau, but producers are still looking for an Asian or Latino male between the ages of 16 and 20 to portray the teenage lover. But former "Donna Reed Show" cast member Paul Petersen -- who played Jeff Stone -- says even if the role doesn't require nudity, kids 18 and under shouldn't be doing love scenes. The 53-year-old Peterson now runs a child actor advocacy group, and claims former child stars such as Tracy Lords and Jodie Foster are still trying to live down the sexy scenes they filmed in their youth. Meanwhile, a source at the production company which is making the film, says the love scenes will be handled "sensitively" and producers are really holding out for an adult actor who looks 13.
