`OUT' IN CYBERSPACE: FIRST-EVER ONLINE GAY WEDDING

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- Two New York City men plan on holding the world's first gay marriage to be carried live on the internet. Jeffrey Newman and Jeffrey Parker, both 31, will get hitched October 16 in a ceremony that will be broadcast over cyberspace via OUT.com, the website for the gay-oriented publication "Out." A New York rabbi will conduct the exchange of vows, while Newman's nephews and nieces will serve as ring bearers and flower girls. In addition, each groom will have three friends at his side as attendants. Since both Newman and Parker share the same first name, they don't plan to take the same surname -- although Newman says they may hyphenate their last names later on. The grooms-to-be both met online and say they want to share their big day to show the "human side" to the political issue of gay marriages.
