COOL OFF BY SLIDING IN KETCHUP

SEYMOUR, Wis. (Wireless Flash) -- Sliding in ketchup may seem like a bizarre way to keep cool this summer, but that's what they'll be doing this Saturday in Seymour, Wisconsin. The town is holding its 11th Annual "Home Of The Hamburger Celebration" and the highlight is a 250-foot "Slip 'N' Slide" using ketchup instead of water. Organizer Tom Cook says the current world record for distance on the ketchup slide is 196 feet, 8 inches, which was set in 1997. The burger bash is meant to celebrate the 114th anniversary the hamburger, which Cook claims was invented in 1885 at the Seymour County Fair by meatball salesman Charlie Nagreen. It seems sales of his meatballs were so poor that Nagreen got the bright idea to flatten the balls and place them in between two slices of bread.
