PARENTS WANT SCHOOL UNIFORMS, METAL DETECTORS

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- American schools may end up looking more like prisons if a new survey of parents is correct. According to a poll conducted by FrenchToast.com, a website specializing in school uniforms, nearly 45 percent of parents want random drug searches at schools and 43 percent want more police. 42 percent also think everyone should pass through metal detectors before entering school yards. Other stats... -- 26 percent of parents claim "other children" are the biggest concern for their child's safety. -- 27 percent of parents admit homework is what causes the most arguments with their kids. -- And 33 percent think in-school prayer would improve school safety.
