WITCHES BOILING MAD OVER `BLAIR WITCH PROJECT'

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- Witches are boiling mad over the hit film, "The Blair Witch Project," because it's giving witches a bad name. The flick -- which deals with a group of film-makers trying to track down an evil witch -- is ruining the reputations of real witches, according to attorney and self-proclaimed witch Phyllis Curott. Curott believes the film could be "very damaging" to real witches because folks who see it may come away with the idea that all witches are evil hags who kill small children. She says the fact that the movie is a huge hit bodes even worse for real witches, because so many people will see it and be exposed to the negative stereotypes of witches. Curott says she's particularly disappointed because Hollywood had been doing such a good job lately of depicting "good witches" in shows like "Charmed" and "Sabrina, The Teenage Witch."
