OXFORD DICTIONARY NEEDS YOUR NEW WORDS

LONDON (Wireless Flash) -- The "Oxford English Dictionary" is looking for a few good words. The editors of the dictionary are getting ready to revise the latest edition and they're asking the public to help out by submitting new words. You can log onto the dictionary's website to submit words you think should be officially added to the English language -- but there's a catch. In order to cut down on made-up words, all submissions must include documentation that the words actually appeared in print. A spokesperson says most of the new word submissions are related to the worlds of music, technology and medicine -- but even dirty words could make the final cut if the words are indeed part of the language. The "Oxford English Dictionary" submission site is at http://www.oed.com
