MAN TRYING TO HEAL THE WORLD WITH SNAKE SKIN

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash) -- A man in San Francisco has a slithery solution for the woes of the world: the "miracle" skin from his 13-foot-long pet python. Snake dancer Jim Berenholtz claims the snake -- named Kalpan -- is the incarnation of an ancient Aztec god and is here to help cure the world of problems. Berenholtz is in the process of conducting 36 "healing rituals" in which he buries or burns the skin shed by his snake at sacred sites around the world. So far, he's performed snake ceremonies to stop the depletion of the rain forest and curtail drug addiction. Next month he travels to Mount Fuji in Japan to put an end to nuclear power. Although it may sound like a bunch of snake oil, Berenholtz insists his snake's skin is crucial to the rituals because the shed skin is symbolic of the earth's need to "shed" itself of serious problems.
