ALFRED HITCHCOCK GETS A `CLUE' IN NEW BOARD GAME

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash) -- The murderous board game "Clue" is getting an Alfred Hitchcock makeover in honor of the 100th anniversary of the director's birth. Hitchcock -- who was born August 13, 1899 -- is the inspiration for a new version of Clue which utilizes characters, places and weapons from some of his most famous flicks. Players can choose to be one of six Hitchcock characters such as "Mother Bates" from "Psycho" or Tippi Hedren's character from "The Birds." Players then try to solve a murder that takes place in one of eight sites including the Bates Motel and the opera house from "The Man Who Knew Too Much." Instead of traditional Clue murder weapons like the candlestick and the rope, the new game features a fireplace poker from the movie "Marnie," a necktie from "Frenzy" or a seagull from "The Birds." The $35 game will hit stores next month.
