PETE ROSE SUBJECT OF NEW PROTEST SONG

PETE ROSE SUBJECT OF NEW PROTEST SONG

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (Wireless Flash) -- Pete Rose, who has been banned from the Baseball Hall of Fame, is about to get some help from a songwriter in White Plains, New York. The musician -- who calls himself "The Dude Of Life" -- has just completed a pro-Rose protest song that he hopes will convince baseball big shots to remove the ban imposed on Rose in 1989. Some of the lyrics in the funk-rock number include "It's time to let Pete Rose into the hall of fame/ A little bit of gambling, who's to blame?/ It's time to let Pete Rose into the hall of fame." Although "The Dude" doesn't know if Rose has heard his protest song, he's hoping it will become a hit and convince baseball commissioner Bud Selig to overturn the Rose ban.
