BABY FOOD IS ADULT FARE AT COOK-OFF

FREMONT, Mich. (Wireless Flash) -- Mushy peas and strained carrots may not appear on the menu at Spago, but that could soon change. Adult dishes prepared with baby food are among the highlights at the National Baby Food Festival which starts next Tuesday (July 20) in Fremont, Michigan. Organizers of the festival are holding a Baby Food Cook-off where creative chefs whip up culinary concoctions using jars of baby food. "Diaper dishes" from the past include a barbecue sauce made with a jar of strained plums, a fruit salad made with banana- pineapple baby food and rice cereal, and a main dish containing cream of mushroom soup and a jar of strained turkey and green bean baby food.
