NOSTRADAMUS OR NOVELIST? WRITER'S PLOTS KEEP COMING TRUE

PISMO BEACH, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- Novelist Richard Herman is turning out to be a modern-day Nostradamus -- because the plots of his books keep coming true. Just last summer, Herman published the novel "Against All Enemies," which involves the bombing of a biological weapons factory in Sudan. One month later, the U.S. military actually dropped a bomb on Sudan. Even stranger, the White House press office confirms that President Clinton had a copy of the novel just before he ordered the bombing. Although Herman doubts his book actually inspired Clinton to bomb Sudan, he admits a surprising number of the fictional scenarios in his books eventually come true -- including the Persian Gulf War, which he predicted in his 1984 novel, "The Warbirds." His latest book -- "Edge of Honor" -- is about a female U.S. president.
