TWISTED SISTER LEAD SINGER BECOMES MORNING D.J.

HARTFORD, Conn. (Wireless Flash) -- The career of Twisted Singer lead singer Dee Snider has a new twist: he's now a morning disc jockey. Starting today (July 12), Snider will be spinning records for WMRQ-FM in Hartford, Connecticut, where he will be playing modern rock ditties by Nine Inch Nails and Metallica -- not the heavy metal hair band hits he's famous for. Snider admits his history as a head banger might seem a strange mix with modern rock, but the program director of the station has given him the green light to make fun of songs he doesn't like -- including Pearl Jam's "Last Kiss." If Snider catches on in Hartford, he hopes to syndicate his show nationally.
