NOSTRADAMUS RUMORS DEBUNKED BY SKEPTIC

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (Wireless Flash) -- Nostradamus' prediction about a giant "terror from the sky" plaguing Earth in July of 1999 is being shot down by skeptic and former magician James Randi. Randi says Nostradamus made 104 predictions with a verifiable name, place or time and, so far, 103 have been wrong. The July prediction of doom is the 104th, and if July passes without incident, Randi says Nostradamus will be batting zero as far as accuracy. The skeptic is so confident nothing will happen, that he plans on throwing a "Nostradamus is Wrong Party" on July 31 where guests can use telescopes to search the sky for any intruders. Meanwhile, science writer Alfred Webre claims Nostradamus' July date is based on the Julian calendar, not the Gregorian calendar, which means the prediction might apply to September.
