CONTEST PRIZE: 1 ACRE OF TOBACCO

SAN PEDRO SULA, Honduras (Wireless Flash) -- Anti-tobacco activists are burning up over a new contest in which the grand prize is an acre of tobacco and a lifetime supply of cigars. The contest is sponsored by the Hoyo de Monterrey cigar company, which says one lucky winner will receive an actual acre of land in a Honduras tobacco field as well as a lifetime supply of stogies. A spokesperson says the company will pay the winner the market rate for all the tobacco grown on the acre. However, the contest is causing a slow burn with anti- smoking activists including Chris Donnelly of the American Lung Association who calls the idea of a lifetime supply of cigars "an oxymoron."
