DOG CIGARS AMONG LATEST PET PRODUCTS

LONG BEACH, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- Dogs are about to become the latest to join the cigar-smoking bandwagon thanks to a company that's making stogies for pooches. The $15 "gourmet cigars" from the Bow Wow Bistro company come in cigar boxes -- but a true cigar aficionado would gag on the canine stogies. You see, they're made of peanut butter and oats, and are meant to be consumed not smoked. The doggie cigar treats are just one of the new products that will be featured at the upcoming Pet Industry Trade Show in Long Beach, California. Other odd items include... -- An $17 insect-repelling dog bowl which keeps ants away with a water filled "moat." -- A $70 "magna-therapy" collar that supposedly eases animal aches and pains using magnets. -- And, finally, there's an orthopedic, heated bed for cats that should sell for around $60. The pet products show will take place next month.
