DUTCH AND ENGLISH TIE AS WORLD'S BIGGEST BOOZERS

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Wireless Flash) -- This news may drive the Dutch and the British to drink -- not that they need any help. According to a new survey by Maritz AmeriPoll, people in the Netherlands and England are the biggest boozehounds on the planet. The two countries tie in per-capita consumption of beer with the average man chugging at least 34 cans of brew each month. The average female kicks back 21. By comparison, the average man in the United States drinks only 19 beers a month, while American women pound about 11. The country with the lowest per-capita consumption of beer is France, where the average man drinks 13 beers per month and the average woman drinks eight.
