SAINTHOOD: ALL IT TAKES IS $25

TOLUCA LAKE, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- Forget about trading stock on the internet, the latest cyber-service allows you to become a saint -- and all you need is $25. A new website created by two former Vietnam veterans allows anyone to bypass the Pope and obtain "cyber-sainthood" by paying a $25 fee. Entrepreneurs Bob Schmitt and George Proudfoot say they created their sainthood site because they think it's too hard to become an official saint these days. Potential saints must give their name, the place they hail from and the reason why they deserve to attain sainthood. So far, the two men have endowed sainthood upon a golfer, a belly dancer and someone whose skills consist of "an ability to clean a house." The Vatican-less sainthood site is at http://www.sainthood.com
