LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- An American haircutting franchise is taking patriotism to the extreme. The Fantastic Sams hair salon chain says it will celebrate the Fourth of July by trying to set a world record for painting more than 1000 heads shades of red, white and blue. For five days starting on June 30, the salon will set up special booths across America and paint the skulls of patriotic folks in exchange for a donation to the World War II Veteran's Monument. A spokesperson says employees are prepared to turn any hairdo into the Stars and Stripes, including dreadlocks, mohawks and cue ball styles. By the way, the paint is washable so you don't have to worry about getting stares from strangers after the Fourth of July.
