NEW N'SYNC VIDEO IRRITATES MENTAL HEALTH EXPERTS

WASHINGTON (Wireless Flash) -- The video for the new N'Sync hit "I Drive Myself Crazy" is driving mental health experts crazy. The video shows the members of N-Sync going wacko thanks to love affairs that turn sour. Now the National Mental Health Association is objecting to the video because it depicts straightjackets and padded cells as treatments for mental illness. The president of the organization, Monty Moeller, thinks N'Sync's straitjacket stereotypes will scare away people who need help for their mental problems. Moeller says the Mental Health Association has worked hard to get rid of stigmas surrounding mental illness, and it's frustrating to see a popular singing group reinforce misconceptions about the mentally ill. Members of N'Sync were unavailable for comment, but this isn't the first time the organization has taken a stand against popular culture. A few years ago, the group also complained to Paramount television about the use of a straightjacket to promote the "Frasier" TV series.
