TAMPON SCULPTURES TO MAKE DEBUT IN NYC

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- Now here's a first: two artists in New York are making sculptures using tampons. The odd sculptures are being created to promote a new line of personal products called "Personal Attitude." One of the tampon sculptures is titled "Attitudes of the Past" and depicts an embarrassed woman hunching over her pocketbook while feminine hygiene products spill out. The other sculpture is titled "Woman of the Millennium." It features a woman standing proudly with her pads and tampons on a silver tray. Although artist Anne Bedrick admits this is the first time she's sculpted with tampons, she says she loves it and plans to use tampons in future works. The sculptures will be displayed at a New York City drugstore which will also hold a contest where customers can guess how many tampons were used in each sculptures. The winner will get a lifetime supply of tampons.
