TEENS GIVE ADULTS A `D' FOR ANTI-DRUG EFFORT

TEENS GIVE ADULTS A `D' FOR ANTI-DRUG EFFORT (EMBARGOED UNTIL JUNE, 2, 1999)

CHICAGO (Wireless Flash) -- When it comes to fighting drugs, adults get a big fat "D." That's according to something called The Uhlich (YOO-lick) Report Card, which polls teenagers to see what kind of grades they'd give adults on a variety of topics. Adults get "Ds" for their efforts at curbing teen drinking, keeping youths from smoking and their ability to run the government. In fact, the highest grade teens gave adults is a "B-," for their efforts at creating jobs for young adults. The lousy grades will be presented to adults at a press conference June 2.
