NEW CANNABIS COOKBOOK: IT'S FOOD FOR POT

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Wireless Flash) -- A man in Indianapolis is earning a reputation as the Wolfgang Puck of Pot. A cannabis cook who calls himself "Dan D. Lyon" has just written "Gourmet Cannabis Cookery" (Loompanics), a cookbook he hopes will make marijuana as popular a seasoning as salt and pepper. Lyon says the taste of marijuana is somewhat overpowering, so it goes best with sweet desserts like brownies or in Mexican or Italian dishes. There are recipes for everything from marijuana meatballs to a pot-flavored pot roast. Lyon says the best way to incorporate marijuana into a recipe is to make either an "herb butter" or a pot-infused olive oil. You'll need at least an eighth of an ounce of wacky weed for each recipe. He serves up a warning, though: the high you get from eating pot can last much longer than from smoking.
