TASTE OF HONEY SINGER HOPES TO TASTE ANOTHER HIT

PASADENA (Wireless Flash) -- Remember the disco band A Taste Of Honey and its 1978 hit "Boogie Oogie Oogie"? Well, these days, former lead singer Janice Marie Johnson is hoping her new solo career will give her another taste of success. Johnson admits she was so broke after A Taste Of Honey split up in 1985 that she quit show business and started driving a limousine for living. It wasn't always a smooth ride: One time two adult film stars rented the limousine and tried to get Johnson to join them in the back seat for a roll in the hay. Another time, one of her limo clients decided to rob a bank and Johnson almost became an unwilling getaway driver. She says the good news is that driving a limo not only taught her humility, it gave her lots of ideas for songs which appear on her new CD, "Hiatus Of The Heart."
