STAR WARS TOOTHBRUSHES CAUSE PANDEMONIUM FOR DENTIST

TORRANCE, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- A dentist in California is seeing the "Dark Side" after offering his patients free "Star Wars" toothbrushes. The promotion by Dr. Chris Thanos, a pediatric dentist in Torrance, California, is causing hysteria among parents trying to buy the brushes as collectibles. Thanos says one mother actually threw a fit when he wouldn't sell her one of the toothbrushes, which feature characters from "The Phantom Menace." All the commotion is a mystery to Aaron Derr of "Beckett Sci-Fi Collector" magazine, who says the "Star Wars" toothbrushes are so common, it's unlikely they'll ever be worth more than $10. Either way, Dr. Thanos says he's happy so many parents have brought their kids to see the dentist -- even if it's for the wrong reason.
