ANTI-NAZI ACTIVISTS HAVE BEEF WITH BURGER KING

ERFURT, Germany (Wireless Flash) -- Burger King has pulled a German TV ad campaign that featured a slogan made famous by a World War II concentration camp. Anti-Nazi activists complained after German Burger King restaurants promoted a new line of "grill specials" with the motto: "Jadem das Seine" or "Everyone Gets What He Deserves." The slogan was also the motto for the Buchenwald Concentration Camp, which housed nearly 250,000 prisoners during World War II. The morbid motto is still printed above the main entrance. The Munich-based ad agency behind the campaign claims it had no idea the slogan was previously used by Nazis, but admits it was an "ill-considered mistake."
