COLD WAR STILL HOT: RUSSIAN SUBS OFF U.S. COAST

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash) -- Whoever said the Cold War was over forgot to tell the Russians. According to international intelligence expert Dr. John Coleman, the Russian Navy has at least six nuclear subs stationed off the East and West Coasts of the United States just in case President Clinton decides to drop the bomb on Moscow. Coleman -- who publishes the "World In Review" news magazine -- claims the Russians are angry at the U.S. government for wrecking the Soviet economy in 1987. Now, foreign intelligence sources have told Coleman the Russian government is taking a lesson from Ronald Reagan and will soon outspend the U.S. on defense. Even scarier: he says since the U.S. Navy downsized its submarine fleet, America is a sitting duck for the more battle- ready Russian Navy.
