R2-D2 ACTOR: IT'S EASIER TO PLAY A ROBOT THAN A REAL PERSON

MANCHESTER, England (Wireless Flash) -- The man who plays R2-D2 in "Star Wars" is finally revealing the bleeping truth about playing the lovable robot. Actor Kenny Baker says it's a lot easier to pretend he's a robot than to play a real human character -- even though his R2- D2 job requires him to sit inside a 4-foot-tall can for hours at a time. Even though he's only 3 ft. 8 in. tall, he admits it gets pretty cramped inside the robot costume -- but the acting job is pretty easy because he never shows his face and never speaks. Baker will be turning 65 this August, but that doesn't mean he's retiring anytime soon. He's hoping to play R2-D2 in the next two "Star Wars" movies.
