HARDWARE INSPIRING STUDENT FASHION DESIGNERS

CHICAGO (Wireless Flash) -- It looks like some fashion designers have started shopping at the Home Depot instead of Sak's Fifth Avenue. Fashion school students at Columbia College in Chicago were asked to create outfits for their final exam and here's what they came up with... -- One design is a miniskirt and shirt combination that's covered in metal electrical outlet plates and lamp pull-chains. -- There's a "Barbarella-"like micro bikini which features a bra made of metal cups. -- One student created a pair of shoes using industrial wheels cut in half. -- Finally, there's the outfit which consists of a halter top made of silver hook-and-eye closures and a brown burlap skirt.
