PUNK BAND SEARCHING FOR LESBIAN ROCKERS TO GRACE CD COVER

UNION, N.J. (Wireless Flash) -- Tongues are wagging over a New Jersey punk band's plan to have two lesbian punk rockers appear on the cover of it's next CD. The punk group Blanks 77 is staging a global search to find two lesbian punkers who are willing to be photographed making out with each other for the CD cover. Lead singer Mike Blank admits he doesn't know any lesbians who like punk rock, so he may have to settle for two straight girls who are willing to, in his words, "attack each other in a cute, innocent way." Blank says the ideal cover girls should be under 25 and look like Drew Barrymore or Liv Tyler. Shaved heads, fishnet stockings and lots of tattoos and piercings are also a plus. The lesbian search may sound sexist but Blank claims it was actually the idea of the band's female guitarist. Lesbian punk rockers can send photos to: Radical Records, 77 Bleecker St. #C2-21, New York, NY; 10012
