WOULD YOU EAT ARTICHOKE ICE CREAM?

OAKLAND, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- Would you eat artichoke- flavored ice cream? It may be coming to a supermarket near you soon. California-based Dreyer's Ice Cream is asking people to submit ideas for a new ice cream flavor that will represent the state of California. Some of the flavors submitted so far include... -- "Chocolate de Artichoke" (Chocolate ice cream with chunks of artichokes.) -- "Sierra Cold Rush" (A vanilla-nut ice cream with pine scent added to it to represent the California forests.) -- "Poppy Seed Pecan" (Poppy seeds and orange food coloring to represent the state flower, the California Poppy.) -- And, finally, there's "California Cuisine." A mish-mash of ingredients that include lemons and a Mexican vegetable called jicama (hick-ama). Dreyer's says it will actually create a batch of the winning flavor.
