GERMANY GETTING UNFAIR RAP IN SCHOOL SHOOT OUT?

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- German officials are in a furor over media accusations that Nazi culture is responsible for the Littleton school massacre. According to Werner Schmidt, press officer for the German Consulate General, American newspapers including the "New York Times" are rushing to blame Germany for the high school horror when they should be looking in their own backyard. Schmidt says the Littleton tragedy may not have occurred at all if the U.S. had the same tough anti-neo Nazi laws as Germany. In Germany, it's illegal to publicly display a swastika or other Nazi symbols and almost all Nazi literature found in Germany is actually imported from the United States. Although Schmidt thinks the U.S. press is unfairly blaming his country, he thinks most Americans are smart enough not to see through the poor reporting.
