UNMASKED `MASKED MAGICIAN' TO PLAY HIMSELF ON `DIAGNOSIS MURDER'

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- CBS has found a unique way to get ratings revenge on Fox: it's hired Fox's infamous "Masked Magician" to play himself on an upcoming episode of "Diagnosis Murder". The magician -- a Las Vegas-based conjurer known only as "Valentino" -- will be playing himself in an episode scheduled to air next week. But he won't be the show's most impressive magician. That honor goes to "Diagnosis Murder's" casting director, who, in this one episode, single-handedly resurrects the careers of Tony Dow, Jerry Mathers, Danny Bonaduce, Randolph Mantooth, Adrian Zmed, and Pat Harrington by hiring them as guest stars.
