DINING ETIQUETTE FOR YUCKY FOODS: GRIN & BEAR IT

INDIANAPOLIS (Wireless Flash) -- When you're traveling overseas on a business trip, how do you save face at a business dinner if your host serves sheep's brains? Just grin and bear it. That's the advice of business travel expert Laurie Borman, who says you should be prepared to come face to face with all sorts of stomach-churning dishes while dining on foreign business trips. Borman says etiquette dictates you must eat some of the yucky dish -- unless you really think you're going to toss your cookies. However, you can make it easier on yourself by pretending you're eating something more appetizing as you chew the food. You can also spare your foreign host's feelings by cutting up the food into tiny pieces and spreading it all over your plate -- which makes it look like you've at least made a dent in the dish. Borman is the author of "The Smart Woman's Guide To Business Travel" (Career Press).
