`POLITICALLY-CORRECT FASHION' AMONG TOP TEEN TRENDS

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- The "politically correct" movement is alive and well -- at least when it comes to teenagers and their clothing. That's according to Jane Lauder of Clinique make-up, who has just wrapped up a worldwide "cool hunting" tour to find out the top trends for teens. One constant from New York to Paris to Tokyo is "politically correct fashion" -- clothes that don't hurt the environment like shaggy fake fur coats, fake feather boas and plastic backpacks. Another hot trend in teen fashion is the use of signs and symbols -- such as the travel bag Lauder found in Dublin which features an airplane printed on the side. Finally, Lauder says the utilitarian look is very popular with teens, such as white fleece scarves which have a zippered pocket for holding make-up or keys.
