PIERCING CRAZE AFFECTING WEDDING ETIQUETTE

PIERCING CRAZE AFFECTING WEDDING ETIQUETTE

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- Here's one for the wedding etiquette books: Is it acceptable for a bridesmaid to walk down the aisle with a bone through her nose? It seems the current body piercing and tattooing craze is causing havoc for some couples when it comes time for their wedding ceremony. Carley Roney of the online wedding site The Knot, says body modification has led to a whole new brand of etiquette to deal with pierced and tattooed members of the bridal party. Some brides just don't know what to say when they discover a bridesmaid wants to wear a nose ring or that the maid of honor plans on showing off her tattooed shoulder. Roney's advice? Ask your friends to cover up their tattoos or remove their piercings for the ceremony and blame it on a conservative relative if you think you'll offend them.
