PHOENIX MAN CLAIMS HE BUILT THE `TITANIC'

PHOENIX (Wireless Flash) -- A man in Phoenix, Arizona, has a titanic load on his shoulders: he claims he's the reincarnation of the man who designed the "Titanic". 45-year-old William Barnes was born exactly 41 years after the "Titanic" sunk, and claims he always had a "sinking feeling" he was involved somehow. When Barnes was four, he drew a pictures of a large ship and told his parents: "This is my ship, but she died." When he was five, he saw a film about the "Titanic" and pointed out inaccuracies in exacting detail. However, Barnes didn't receive confirmation that he really is the designer of the "Titanic" until a past life regression expert revealed he once was Mr. Thomas Andrews, the designer of the "Titanic." Barnes admits he's felt guilty all his life for causing 1500 deaths, but he says the real blame lies with the cost-cutting owners of the who scrimped on safety to improve luxury. He discusses his "titanic" past in a new series of audio tapes called "I Built The Titanic" (Edin Books).
