KEANU REEVES BECOMES PUPPET IN LATEST FLICK

SYDNEY (Wireless Flash) -- Keanu Reeves has something in common with Pinocchio in his latest movie, "The Matrix" -- they both hang from wires. Producers of the futuristic film employed a unique technique for propelling actors through the air during fight scenes by hooking them up to metal wires and moving them like puppets. The delicate work required Reeves to spend four months training on the wires before the stunts could actually be filmed on an Australian soundstage. The high wire balancing act wasn't the only skill Reeves picked up on the set of the film. His role also required him to become a master of Kung Fu. "The Matrix" opens next Friday (Mar. 31).
