WALT DISNEY: BETTER ACTOR THAN ANIMATOR?

WALT DISNEY: BETTER ACTOR THAN ANIMATOR?

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- Walt Disney may be best known for creating Mickey Mouse, but he could have had one heck of a career as an actor. That's according to Hollywood tour guide Stephen Schochet, author of the new audio book "Fascinating Walt Disney." Schochet says Walt was a great performer whose acting ability literally saved "Snow White And The Seven Dwarves "from getting the axe from creditors. The animated flick was way over budget and Disney's banker was ready to pull the plug on funding until Walt asked Mr. Money Bags to take a sneak peak at the film. Because only two-thirds of the film had been completed, Walt acted out the final chapter of the story for the banker -- imitating everyone from the Evil Queen to Dopey and Snow White herself. His performance blew everyone away, and the money man gave the studio a thumbs up for further funding. This year marks the 60th anniversary of Walt's Oscar win for "Snow White And The Seven Dwarves."
