COFFEEMAKER COOKBOOK: USE IT LIKE A MINI-OVEN

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Wireless Flash) -- When is a coffeemaker not a coffeemaker? When you use it to poach fish. That's according to "coffeemaker cook" Peter Mazonson, who says you can cook almost anything in a coffeemaker. -- To steam vegetables, just toss them into the filter basket and run three or more cups of water through the machine. -- Poach a small fish in the basket by running 10 cups of water through the machine, then flip the fish over and repeat the process. -- Fill the glass coffee pot with shredded cheese and sit it on the hot plate for 20 minutes to make a nacho cheese sauce. He also claims you can make coffeemaker cocktail sausages, cooked pasta and even chocolate mousse using your coffeemaker. Mazonson is the author of the new book, "Cooking Without a Kitchen: The Coffeemaker Cookbook" (MCB Publications).
