RESEARCHER LOOKING FOR JAPANESE LEPRECHAUNS

VANCOUVER, B.C. (Wireless Flash) -- A self-described "leprechaun researcher" plans to travel to Japan in May to search for a mysterious race of little people known as the "Kappa." Leprechaun investigator Tanis Helliwell claims the Kappa are 3-foot-tall creatures who swim in Japanese lakes and ponds while wearing full-length kimonos. Helliwell says males of the shrimpy species have been known to seduce human females by singing them Japanese folk songs -- but there are no reported cases of female Kappas hitting on male humans.
