WORLD'S LARGEST FLOATING RUMMAGE SALE

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash) -- Sanford & Son are about to get the water treatment in San Diego where a museum plans on holding the world's largest floating rummage sale. On March 27, a 300-foot-long antique steamboat will be stuffed to the gills with old junk as part of a fund-raiser for the San Diego Maritime Museum. A museum volunteer says every inch of the deck will be crammed with an assortment of "collectible crap" including castoff clothing, antique bathroom accessories and second-hand life preservers. Some of the weirder items include a knit coat with chunks of fur sewn on it that's described as looking like "roadkill," a gigantic board featuring several old keys and a set of old carhop trays. A spokesperson says many of the items that will be sold were left behind at local yacht clubs and Navy bases.
